Closter Mart opened this year in the heart of Historic Closter—right downtown, on the main drag at one of the central intersections. As the local Israeli community grew and more neighbors began looking for familiar Israeli products, kosher foods, and that comfortable heimische atmosphere, the absence of a store that could provide it became increasingly felt.


We opened Closter Mart to bring the aromas, flavors, and warmth that people miss from Israel into homes across northern New Jersey. Step off the strip and into a place where you can, for a moment, feel as if you’re back in your neighborhood store in Israel.


Our shelves are stocked mostly with Israeli products, with a few locally produced items to complete what’s not available—or can’t be imported—for various reasons. You’ll find everything you’d expect from a small, friendly supermarket, including:


  • Packed foods and dry goods
  • Housewares and snacks
  • Drinks
  • Frozen & refrigerated items (hummus, meats, dairy, etc)
  • Cleaning supplies and baking needs
  • Fresh challah for Shabbat
  • And more...


In addition to our grocery selection, we operate a deli where we prepare and serve hot, fresh bourekas and rugelach daily—along with hot dogs, sandwiches, and more.


We also offer light catering menus for office lunches, community events, classes, and other local gatherings.


Both owners are members of the local Chabad synagogue and active volunteers at Closter’s Ambulance Corps. We’re proud to serve our community—and we’re always happy to welcome you in.


In addition to shopping in-store, we also offer online shopping for pickup or delivery.
